B.Ed. Programme

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate degree programme designed for students who want to pursue career in teaching. These days, a B Ed degree is required for teaching positions and is essential for individuals who wish to pursue a career in education.
The main goal of the B.Ed. programme is to give prospective teachers the pedagogical knowledge and abilities they need, along with an awareness of teaching techniques, educational psychology, curriculum transaction, classroom management, and subject-specific training. The two-year curriculum consists of a combination of theoretical coursework, real-world teaching experience and internships in educational settings. Students may have the option to specialise in particular subject areas and training within the B.Ed. program. The college, which is affiliated to M.G. University, offers a two-year B.Ed. curriculum that is spread across four semesters. The program’s curriculum is designed in accordance with NCTE guidelines. There are 100 students accepted each year (2 units), with five subject specialisations. Admission requirements, admissions norms, and seat reservations for B.Ed. Program must adhere to the guidelines periodically established by the Government and university.

  • A broad range of disciplines are covered in the curriculum such as Educational psychology, Educational philosophy and Educational technology.
  • Differential approaches to teaching different subjects and lesson preparation.
  • Subject-Specific Training to acquire knowledge and instructing abilities in a certain specified subjects.
  • Practical Training is the key factor, it includes school internships in which trainees can work with experienced teachers and get practical teaching experience in real classrooms.
