The primary objective of the Social Science Association at St. John the Baptist’s College of Education Nedumkunnam is to plan, coordinate, and carry out social science-related events and activities. The college’s faculties give tasks to the association. The Social Science Association’s primary objectives are to promote social science as a topic and raise public awareness of the significance of numerous socially significant issues. It is composed of the association’s president, secretary, and treasurer in addition to group members who are St. John the Baptist’s College of Education, Nedumkunnam Social Science optional students.
                 Campaigns to increase public awareness of the significance of social issues and plan events on themes related to social science; providing a platform for members and students to converse and debate important issues. Information is given about historical events, including their key features, political movements, economic shifts, and more, both domestically and globally, at the Association’s events. The convenors of the social science organization are Mrs. Revathi T S and Ms. Akhila A, Assistant Professor in Social Science Education.

Objectives

1. To conduct activities related to creating awareness regarding social relevant matters and important days.
2. To foster the spirit of social consciousness and national feeling.
3. Coordinate activities which raise the spirit of cooperation among members and spread positivity to the college environment.
4. To remember and celebrate our national freedom fighters and important personalities of our nation.
5. Encourage creative work and publications from association members.
