
S.J.B. College of Education, Nedumkunnam, celebrated its vibrant heritage and artistic spirit through its annual Cultural Fest, titled “Thanurooham,” held on February 25, 2026. The event served as a grand stage for students, alumni, and local talent to showcase their creative prowess, further strengthening the bond between the institution and the community.
Inaugural Ceremony
The formal proceedings commenced with a solemn prayer, seeking divine blessings for the success of the fest. Mr. Sony Mathew, Union Chairman of SJB College of Education, delivered the welcome address, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day’s celebrations.
The festival was officially inaugurated by the renowned Film Director, Mr. Jayaraj. In his inaugural address, he spoke about the power of art in shaping human character and encouraged the future teachers to integrate cultural education into their pedagogy. Smt. Rajamma Raveendran, President of Nedumkunnam Gramapanchayath, delivered the felicitation message, highlighting the college’s consistent role in the cultural upliftment of the region.
